The Tapey Beercone field with the least amount of playtime Savage Yards was located at the Savage River Campground at Denali National Park.
Savage Yards was a flawed field, with a very tiny infield tucked between three pine trees and an outfield so strewn with trees it would be almost unplayable. To combat this, the Buckos devised to create a ball which wouldn’t carry as far. Instead, during the top of the first inning of what would have been the close out game of the Alaskan Series, the first struck ball carried so far that the ball couldn’t be found, and the game was called.
