“Not Swampy” Slope Tapey Beercone Beercomplex

Located in North Albany Park in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, “Not Swampy” Slope is so named for possessing a relative lack of moistness in what was an otherwise soggy park lawn as is typical of the Beaver State. Originally created for the 4th Annual Oregon Tapey Beercone Invitational, the field become a Beercomplex when Field #2 was created to accommodate the much larger attendance of the 5th Annual OTBCI.

Field #1 is a throw back to fields from Tapey Beercone’s distant past as it is tuck tightly within a grove of evergreen trees, creating an interesting challenge for fielders and batters alike.

Field #2 is a more modern field, similar to some Season 4 fields, with a full right angle, 90 degree, play area and a more wide open outfield. One unique aspect of this beercomplex is that the fields share a portion of their outfields, and, in fact, the same Grand Salami Zone is utilized by both fields.

The beercomplex is also the home site of the Cascade R Minor Tapey Beercone League.
