The 2025 Tapey Beercone Open Game will be held in Northern California at Trailerville Acres. The event will start at 10:00 AM on May 3rd, 2025. The address for Trailerville is 1301 Rancho Vista Ln Placerville, CA.
Notice: The Forecast calls for scattered showers all day on Saturday. The event will take place rain or shine. Please come prepared to play!
If you plan to attend, please complete the Pre-Registration Form at the bottom of this page.
Some information on the event:
All are welcome and encouraged to play regardless of skill level. We will do our best to build even teams, and no one takes this thing that serious. The goal is to hang out with friends, drink beer, and have a good time.
The day’s festivities will begin with the 7th running of the Tapey Beercone Kumite, which will begin promptly at 10AM. This battle royale tournament is not for the faint of heart, or liver… Make sure to show up ahead of time to register if you intend to compete.
Following the Kumite will be the main round-robin open tournament. These games tend to take about 3 to 4 hours to complete, and if people gather around 11AM we’ll look to start the main event around Noon. If you want to play, but can’t stay the entire time that’s okay. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan the teams accordingly.
After the main event, if time allows, an open free play game will be held with two large teams.
The tentative full day event schedule is below:
- 9:00 AM – TBC Kumite Registration.
- 10:00 AM – TBC Kumite Begins.
- 11:00 AM – TBC Open Main Tournament Registration.
- 12:00 PM – TBC Open Main Tournament First Pitch.
- 3:00 PM – Free Play / Lotus League Game.
What to Bring:
For food, we’ll have a grill near the field with a bunch of dogs and burgers to share. Bring whatever else you feel like eating and sharing.
For beer, we’ll have a bunch of Coor’s Light ready to go, but please bring something of your own if you plan on having more than a few, or if you want to drink something other than the silver bullet. Just keep in mind that if you haven’t tried drinking and playing baseball at the same time before, you may want to stick to the light stuff…
For those who will be drinking and as such won’t be driving off right after, the host wants to pass along that you can stay at his place as long as you like.
As far as what else to bring, it’s too far out to know what the weather will be like, but we’ll be prepared with multiple shade structure for cover rain or shine. If you have something of your own you can bring that would be great. In addition, it would be helpful if everyone could bring a portable folding chair, of something similar to sit on when you aren’t in the field.
