Big Apple Field, located in Central Park in Manhattan, New York was the site first used for the 2012 Chirstmas Day Classic, later renamed the first Tapey Beercone Winter Classic. At the time it was the most public location for Tapey Beercone play. Big Apple field was the location of the Miracle Near 79th Street.
The field was located deep within the Ramble, centrally located within the park, near the 79th Street Transverse. The infield was tucked with a number of large trees with the outfield extending out over a large grassy lawn. Left Field was limited by a side walk with a large dead ball zone on the far side. A forked tree in left center field acted as the Grand Salami Zone, awarding the feat to any ball hit on the fly between the forks.
