The 2023 running of the Tapey Beercone Open Game was held in Northern California at Trailerville Acres.
The day’s festivities will began with the 5th running of the Tapey Beercone Kumite. This battle royale tournament is not for the faint of heart, or liver… In a close match, Kelly “The Coach” hit a walk off double fatality home run to best Jeff “The Natural” and Tyler “The Deuce” in the sudden death round.
Following the Kumite was the main round-robin open tournament. Three teams competed in two round robin innings. In the semi finals
After the main event, if time allows, an open free play game will be held with two large teams. In the semi-finals Team Natural beat Team Colonel by tie breaker after both teams scored 5 runs. Then in the finals Team Coach out-scored Team Natural to take the tournament win.
Lastly, after lunch, a large free play game was held where Team Coach beat Team Colonel 12-8 in a 4 inning game.
The full day event schedule was as follows:
- 9:00 AM – TBC Kumite Registration.
- 10:00 AM – TBC Kumite Begins.
- 11:00 AM – TBC Open Main Tournament Registration.
- 12:00 PM – TBC Open Main Tournament First Pitch.
- 3:00 PM – Free Play / Lotus League Game.
