July of 2016 saw the first running of the Tapey Beercone Open Game. A simultaneous round robin tournament, open to all, and played in the scorching heat of the Northern California summer at Trailerville Acres. The game brought a host of new players to the sport and saw exciting action up to the finish including three out of the park home runs. In the end it was “The Dragon”‘s team that won in an extra inning after the final matchup was tied through one inning.

I’m so glad to see that this idea for an open tournament was so successful. You can definitely plan on us doing this again next year. Most likely during a cooler month though…
