Back after a one year hiatus due to rain, the Lotus League gathered for a Tapey Beercone game held on New Year’s Eve at Lotus Park. Perfect Beercone weather was at hand with mild temps, gray skies, and plenty of ice cold Coors Light on hand. The game included many new players and saw skillful play from pitcher and hitters alike, and well as a couple of unfortunate beer fouls. The game was tightly contested throughout, and over the 7 inning affair it was Team Coach that outpaced Team Colonel 16 to 13.

An exceptional amount of beer was consumed, leading to an outstanding foul line between the mound and the plate:
MVP Mark “Bootsie” pitched three innings of 1.67 ERA ball and hit two doubles.
