CCC TBC Rotisserie League Season 8 Kick Off

The start of another season means the kick off of another exciting season of rotisserie league beercone!

On opening day of the 8th season of Tapey Beercone, a draft was held right before first pitch leading to 4 very competitive fantasy teams.

The rules for Season 8 remained the same as Season 7 rule changes, which can read below.

Full Season 8 CCCTBCRL Rules:

    Offense:

  • R – Runs Scored
  • RBI – Runs Batted In
  • B – Beers Consumed
  • CHG – Chugging Percentage
  • obNB – On Base Net Bases (Weighted Total of On Base Actions as a Runner)


    • Defense:

  • K – Strike Outs
  • BB – Walks (Lower is better)
  • ERA – Eared Run Average (Runs Allowed Divided by Innings Pitched, Lower is better)
  • IP – Innings Pitched
  • FS– Field Successes (Outs made on Batted Balls as a Fielder)

In addition to the 10 scoring categories their are 2 bonus categories and two penalty categories:

    Bonus:

  • BP – Beer Pope Coronations (An extra point is given for each time the player is coronated Beerpope)
  • GS – Grand Salamis Hit (An extra point is given for each Grand Salami hit)
    Penalty:

  • BF – Beer Foul – (A point is deducted for each beer foul perpetrated by the player)
  • TF – Testicle Foul – (A point is deducted for each testicle foul perpetrated by the player)


Tiebreaker:
If two teams are tied in total points the first tie breaker will be Beers Consumed. If still tied the second tie breaker will be Chugging Percentage. If still tied the victor will be decided via Rock-Paper-Scissors.

The first pick in the CCCTBCRL Season 8 draft went to last season’s last place team, now with a slight name change in the hope for better luck:

Owner: Eric “The Hammer”

With the first pick in the draft Eric locked down the leading player from last year’s winning team. Then he dug deep be including a world series winning pitcher!

Next up with the 3rd place squad looking for a bounce back season:

The Cheeseless Cheeseburgers:

Owner: Kelly “The Coach”

The Cheeseless are anchored by “The Hammer” and bolstered by multiple Lotus league regulars in the hopes that this will translates into big Buckos League statistics.

Next up was a team on the rise, just one step away from the championship:

Pope Rooster’s Cocks

Owner: Frank “The Student”

    Roster:

  • Chris “The Rooster”/”The Dragon”
  • Geoff “The Rookie”
  • Ryan “The Mechanic”
  • Sarah Lenney

The Cocks form squad of stong regular players and adding an Sarah who would be a total newcomer to the Sport.

Lastly, our Season 7 champion, who comes with a new team and a new team name!:

Reverend, Student, and a Prayer:

Owner: Richard “The Reverend”

The team takes their name from their two top picks and are calling on divine inspiration to delivery them a second straight title!

Finally, after the completion of the Season 8 opening series at The Ranch, here are the current standings:

Currently the “Reverend, Student, and a Prayer” are having their prayers answered as they sit on the top of the standings tied with the “Stupid Sexy Curtis” and claiming first via the Total Beers tie breaker. In a distant 3rd is “The Cheeseless Cheeseburgers” and bringing up the rear is “Pope Rooster’s Cocks” who have yet to leave the starting blocks as none of their player have yet to see action in Season 8.
