For the third year in a row, the Lotus League gathered for a Tapey Beercone game held on New Year’s Eve at Lotus Park. On a beautiful, sunny December day, an exciting, 6 inning game took place. The game included skillful play, foolish follies, and the miraculous coronation of a new Beerpope.

Multiple Buckos and residents of the Buckos Nation competed in the game.

“The Dragon” made his first appearance at Lotus Park since 2014.
“The Stud” came prepared with a custom, sawed-off “Tennis” bat.

Multiple players brought their own custom made bats.

After this Axe handle had reached the end of its useful life it was repurposed for a second life as a TBC bat.

The game was filled with exciting plays, like this close play at 1st.

The correct call was made thanks to this “install replay” photo.

It wasn’t a completely clean game, in fact a dreaded beer foul was made.

2nd base is NOT a safe place to leave your beer!

The highlight of the event was the coronation of Beer Pope Colonel I. This followed a miraculous fielding play made by “The Colonel” while setting a record beer drinking pace.

Beer Pope Colonel I set a new record with 19 beers consumed in 6 innings.
